The Rise of the Salton Sea is a biographical narrative sourced from a collection of personal journals. It is the first installment in a series of narratives dedicated to the people chronicled in their memoirs.

This Wiki was created to provide additional context and supporting information to the accounts of their lives.

About this Wiki[edit | edit source]

The contents of this Wiki are comprised of articles aggregated from several versions of Wikipedia that span several decades. It is not a complete or comprehensive version of Wikipedia.

Articles[edit | edit source]

The articles were found along with the previously noted personal journals. They were selected by an unknown group of individuals that are not associated with the editors of this site. If available, publication dates have been included with each article.

Encryption & Decryption[edit | edit source]

In their original form, the articles were archived on electronic storage devices and protected with a sophisticated encryption technology. Several years of research was required to understand the technology and develop a method of decrypting it. Even with that knowledge, the decryption process takes a considerable amount of time. As a result, very few articles on this site have been fully decrypted. Most contain sections that remain encrypted.

In addition to the lengthy decryption process, flaws with the data extraction procedure create additional issues. Fragmentary Encryption Anomaly are the most common problem. Efforts to develop solutions for these issues are an ongoing effort.

Publishing Dilemma[edit | edit source]

Significant consideration was devoted to the impact and consequences of publishing this Wiki. Since most of the material presented here relates to future events, it could potentially have detrimental effects on our future. Because of that risk, publication of this Wiki was delayed. During that period several developments transpired which indicated the future depicted in the 2101Se of Wikipedia will not occur in the same manner for our reality.

As noted in the introduction, future events documented in the 2101Se of Wikipedia took place exactly as described. However small deviations began appearing between events detailed in the 2101Se of Wikipedia and what was observed in reality. As time went on, these deviations grew larger. This occurred long before any information was made public, which seemed to indicate some influence in the past had already altered our reality from the path described in the 2101Se of Wikipedia. Although criticized as a viable theory, an explanation referred to as the Multiverse can account for this effect. That debate is beyond the scope of this Wiki, but it did prove to be a mitigating factor in the decision to make this Wiki publicly available.

Editing[edit | edit source]

All articles and media from the 2101Se of Wikipedia have been converted to the contemporary Wikipedia format. No changes have been made to the content, other than formatting. This includes editing from their original arrangement into written form. Even though nothing has been changed during the editing process, there are indications the original source may have been modified. Proper names of individuals have likely been modified, possibly in an effort to conceal their true identities.

A paramount objective of this Wiki is to maintain journalistic integrity during the editing process. However, as noted in the Decryption Difficulties section, most articles have not been fully decrypted. This creates competing interests in the decision process to publish incomplete articles. Publishing incomplete articles risks a reader's misunderstanding or misinterpretation. But it is also important to make new content available as quickly as possible. When incomplete articles are published notations are included to warn readers about drawing conclusions based on incomplete content. See Editing Notations Section for additional information). Sign up here for notifications about newly decrypted content.

Many articles in this Wiki have duplicate entries sourced from different years. They were recovered from the 2101Se Wikipedia revision history and published because they offer unique insights over a single article on the same subject. Differentiation of the articles is denoted by a trailing date in parenthesis. For example; Salton Sea (2020), Salton Sea (2048), and Salton Sea (2066). If no year is included it can be assumed it is the most forward dated article available. Readers are encouraged to view all versions for a better understanding of the subject matter.

Authenticity & Veracity[edit | edit source]

One of the first items successfully recovered from the 2101Se of Wikipedia described a major world event set to occur a week in the future. It took place exactly as described. As difficult to believe as it was, there was only one conclusion. The article must was written at some point after the event took place and then sent back to a point before the incident occurred. The accurate depiction of future events was not an anomaly.

Additional articles detailing subject matter set to take place in the near future were recovered. The events they detailed occurred in reality as they were written, although there was some minor variation (please see the article on the Multiverse subject for a potential explanation). This astonishing outcome was convincing evidence that other events set to occur in the future should be considered equally credible.

Books & Supporting Websites[edit | edit source]

The personal journals, discovered along with the contents of this Wiki, have have been combined into several novels. The first book, titled Rise of the Salton Sea, is expected to be published at the end of 2019. Two additional novels titled Moon Shift and World Shift will follow the release of the first book in 2020 and 2021. Another series of novels delving into more detail regarding specific individuals and events will be published at some point in the future. The first book anticipated in that series, Fire on High, is tentatively set for a 2022 release.

Biography VS Novelization[edit | edit source]

The original objective of this project was to present each individual's journal as a biography. But early in the process of preparing the personal journals for publication, it became clear publishing them as multiple biography would not be a ideal method of presentation. Publishing independent biography lacked several vital elements necessary for communicating the broader scope of events occurring outside of each individual's direct experience. Something more was necessary to convey how lives were intertwined with others and how it all connected to larger events.

Biopic Solution[edit | edit source]

The most viable solution was to combine segments of every person's life journey into a single biopic narrative. This made it possible for each individual's narrative to build a cohesive accounting of larger events from multiple perspectives. But it also raised several other issues. First was the concern each individual's story might be diminished if it was perceived as a dramatization. This is not the case. Every precaution has been taken to accurately preserve every person's thoughts, feelings, and perspectives when conveying it from their journals into the biopic.

Websites[edit | edit source]

Other supporting material has been published on additional websites. Life of the Salton Sea is a site that details the past history of the Salton Sea. Rise of the Salton Sea combines the information contained in this Wiki into a timeline of events. It also includes a timeline of redacted historical events that have not been known until now.

Recommended Articles[edit | edit source]

Reading the contents of this Wiki in its entirety is not recommended. As previously noted its purpose is to provide context to the lives of the people chronicled in their personal journals and depth to their world. Their lives can be better understood by reading the books and experiencing events as they unfold for them.

Below are a list of articles that readers can use to familiarize themselves with the world those people will live in.
